Kris Kolo, LLC completed this two-room Facilities renovation as a design-pilot for future renovations, throughout historic Franklin Field. The University of Pennsylvania sought a simple and extremely durable solution to handle the high traffic of scheduled events.
The exposed structure, along with daylight from exterior openings serve to integrate the design with the landmark building, while maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic. New entrances and exits provide for efficient traffic flow throughout each room. Large areas of brick masonry in the adjacent concourse were rebuilt to accomplish the design within the unique historic character of the space.
